Brake Fluid

Hi need to top up my brake fluid,would it be ok to use dot4,went to halfords,they said it should be ok,but it says dot3 on the cap,not to sure cheers steven.

yes. dot 3,dot 4, dot 5.1 are same fluid type but with higher boiling points up the range. ive always used 5.1 personally.

just under no circumstances use mineral or silicon (dot 5).
