No Boost

Took the car for a drive yesterday and was boosting fine. Tried to accelerate in 5th gear doing about 70 at the was no boost. Pulled the car over to see if any pipes had popped off, couldn't see any but noticed the dump valve was stuck open. took the car home and put the original valve back on. When i took the car back out the car still had no boost. There was no smoke or any dodgy noises coming from the car. Has my turbo gone or could i have a problem with my actuator or wastegate? Any ideas?

Have you got zero boost or just less boost than normal ie running on wastegate pressure alone?

Shame, it sounds like your boost solenoid might be playing up only letting you boost to wastegate pressure.

it's a 95 type ra. Had the turbo off today and its fooked. what would be the best turbo to get for it?

OH that would defo stop your boost, any change in turbo would require a remap or boost control at the very least mate.

got a few other thing to put on the car. front mount intercooler and bigger injectors. should i get the same turbo or go for something bigger?

Depends on what you want from the car, top end power, all out acceleration or a mix of both

Vf34 or 35 then mate or perhaps another TD05.

probs go for vf35 let us know what you go for

ya gonna need a remap after gettin front mount done so you may as well do a few mods at once

The VF35 may need a little work to avoid getting boost creep, but its worth it
