Any Advice On Checking Oil ?

As the title says, does anyone have any advice for checking oil on my Impreza? This is honestly the worst car I have ever had for checking the oil on. When you pull out the dipstick, wipe it and put it back in, the dipstick seems to wiggle about and scrape down the sides of the dipstick holder and coats the whole dipstick in oill, all the way up !!! I cant see where the oil level is.

My girlfriends VW Polo has a small orange plastic bit at the end of a small rigid pole style dipstick and is so easy to check compared with the Impreza.

Very trivial I know, but this really annoys me.

yep no what you mean best way i found is to warm the car up stop it then check in 5 mins works for me hope this helps . billy
