C_WRX Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Tardis all the way. Excellent product, you can spray it on the offending tar and see it melt away, then just wipe off any left over. If just one or two spots can just put on a cloth and wipe off. Strong stuff ! Clay bar will also work but not stubborn bits so much. Like with a clay bar any bodywork wax etc protection will also come off.
Jon B Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 i've got an uncle who has an autosmart franchise... if anyone's looking for anything i'm sure he'll do you a decent deal on it

mystery machine Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 Thanks for all the replies, folks Tardis sounds like serious stuff indeed... perhaps a bit too severe for my needs... I'll maybe try the autoglym first, then onto the Autotart Smardis if required

colzo Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 AS Tardis is the best full stop. For minor tar spots AG Intensive Tar Remover will work fine with little effort.

He could do a meet somewhere like SHowcase, Coatbridge I'd imagine

Jon B Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 i use autosmart stuff on all my cars... can't fault it at all.. there carnauba gold wax is the business!!!!
Ultimate Shine Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Yes Tardis is amazing at removing tar but dont see yourself short as i have used 1.5gal of tardis on just the inner arches of a lamborghini that had done 10000 miles, buy a gal and you will always use. Mate as for that comment on autosmart caranuba gold wax have you ever used anything else?
Jon B Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 used to use autoglyms stuff in the past...... tbh at the moment i haven't got loads of time available when it comes to cleaning the car/but at the same time i'm a clean freak when it comes to my cars so the autosmart stuff in my opinion gives good overall results while at the same time is quick and easy to use....
Jon B Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 right guys i've spoken to my uncle (autosmart guy) about possibly coming to a meet with his lorry and he is willing to come and obviously do some special offers/deals on there products, only problem is that because of the way his territory is split he can only go to certain areas (listed below). he has said that due to past experiences with going to meets that there needs to be a decent amount of interest, he's talking 15+ cars/owners who are interested in buying some valeting/detailing products. he can do meets in the following areas:- Hillington Anywhere in Lanark East Kilbride I was thinking along the lines of maybe the possibility of getting a few other groups together (clan japan etc). and having a mega meet . if anyone is interested then let me know and we will take it from there
