How To Reset The Engine Malfunction Light?

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

i have had the light come on (next to the auto on dccd) check engine light, emmision control system malfunction

i think i have traced the fault to the dump valve, i had a t-piece that had a bung on it on the vaccum pipe this had come off, dont know when i noticed when i came home that the car was not dumping air as low as it used too i took it out for a run and this light came up, i traced the fault and rectified it but this light is still up. is it possible this has caused a fault with something else. i took the MAF out and gave it a clean. disconnected the battery etc. but to no avail i need to drive to aberdeen on tuesday. do i need to book it in with a dealer to reset the light or have a check done.

it is a newage blobeye.

any advice ideas appreciated, am i ok to continue to drive the car??
