neill54 Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 need to buy a new clutch for my car as its slipping quite bad now so needs done asap but dont know what one to go for car not really modified but will be soon looking at going sort of between stage 1 and 2 so around 300 ish bhp mark what would you recommend ?what size ? what price? and where best to get fiitted at what cost? car is a 1993 wrx import cheers
mic Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 (edited) I fitted an exedy one to mine (£140ish i think) and should take 300bhp comfortably, there is a seller on ebay called justexedyclutches or something like that, I got mine from there and it's been tip top, haven't heard anything bad about them.. As far fitting I got craigdmcd on here to fit mine for me, well priced and a job well done, might be a bit out of your way though (Paisley) but certainly knows his Imprezas! noris Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Ive got this on mine http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-TURBO...=item2a04809218 (Another Ebay find) Its currently holding over 300bhp, also was delivered next day Hope this helps
neill54 Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 thats the one ive seen mate going to buy it i think seems the cheapest for what it is also why do you have to or do you have to have your flywheel skimmed? and im hoping the rough price for fitting(garage dependant) would be the 250-300 mark? neil
noris Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Not too sure on the fitting price, as mine was fitted when my engine was being rebuilt. My flywheel was knackered, so had a skimmed & lightened one fitted at the same time Also just spotted where your from, I think they are quite close to you Sorry i couldnt be more help
noris Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 It was done by API in Warwickshire. They done a fantastic job and would recomend them to anyone
andy337 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I bought mine from just exedy clutches as well. top service really quick delivery and free i think. search for just clutch on ebay, they are an offical supplier. you will need a 230mm plate. fit it yourself and save the cash so you can get a stage 1 racing!!
