scoobysailor Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Me and Lisa would be up for a trip down to this. I was going to go last year but had to cancel due to work.
micra_wrc Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Dunk, there's no track, its more of a "park up and see other cars" type of do. going by the rules from last year, it needs a lot more organising if we are wanting to put together a stand... stands will be judged on things like: - the stand - banners /signage; bunting/ flags; use of colour/equipment; position of vehicles; impact of display; - the cars - variety of models; good standards of cars; boards and specs on cars; - club HQ - quality of tents/ equipments; club info/leaflets etc; catering/hospitalility; SWAG and kid friendly; - club activities - roles of members; details of club activities; club regaila /uniforms; - wow factor - desire to win; the X Factor; club theme. its not really an event we can horse together a stand and just turn up to. if this is too much to take on we can go, spectate and wander around, it is quite a good day out and not that far away. personally I've not got the time to organise this.
sti pretender Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Improving the club stand was discussed at the last Glasgow and Central Meets. The big problem is it costs money to develop our ideas, I have contacted Phil about hopefully securing some funds and the possibility of sponsorship from dealers/tuners. I have an idea for a display stand for car details, hopefully making one new week. Display boards for our activities but again down to money. Leaflets have been discussed on the RO's forum nothing concrete yet. Once we know what we can afford or raise by sponsorship it would let us plan our events/stand better.
DR Motosport Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I'd be more up for the trip down, then a wander about and a blether. Polishing the car to bits, really isn't me. I've fancied going to this for a while, but it Always falls on the same weekend as we have a boys weekend away to Ireland for the Donegal Rally. But this year, no Ireland. It's Spain instead for the WRC
frankyboy Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 im up for this does anybody know when this event is
scoobyterzo3 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 we went last year with dgscoobs, camped over night (recommended) and had a very sore head the next day ........was a good show with lots of diffeent scoobs and its for charity
