Wayne Longhurst Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Hi All, I've got a small problem, I have a 06 Hawkeye and my head light washers are stuck would any one know the best way to get them back in? Not sure if they are frozen or grit inside or some like that. thanks for your help Wayne
G-ManUK Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I agree - mine got stuck yesterday morning - the screenwash fluid in there is strong enough to keep a wino happy!!!! (so the problem isn't with the fluid!) I just waited and left the car out all day - as it got slightly less cold, they freed up again..
big den Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) Maybe a 'wee scoosh' of windscreen de-icer would help. Not had the problem on mine so far so can't say if this would work but it did help with a shed padlock :-) Den Edited January 8, 2010 by Big Den
tomwrx08 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 just leave them, they will be frozen, mines r the same,i stuck mine in the garage at work with the heaters on ,went back and they were fine, they r very flimsy so be careful if pushing bak in as they may snap, pour luke-warm water over them and they will go back in no probs
wrxmania Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Hairdryer if you can get one to it - or cover them with a towel and rub/pour warm water on them (the towel will keep the water crazing your paint if it's that cold). Brian
mystery machine Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 This has happened to me twice - once with the WRX last winter, and again this year with the STI. My advice is to leave them well alone - they'll return to position perfectly after thawing (whenever that may be!).
