lumsden26 Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Hi folks coming home the other day my clutch pedal started sticking on the floor, i got the car home and when i check'd the fluid it was pretty much empty so i topped up but the pedal still sticks. After pumping the pedal a few times it felt a bit better but still wasn't the same, so i tried to bleed it and as soon as i pushed the pedal it dropped to the floor and still sticks so how do i bleed it correctly??? Cheers Mark
Big 'D' Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I am fairly certain its slightly different to doing you brakes, you obviously need 2 of you, push the pedal to the floor then open the bleed port for a couple of seconds, then do the bleed port back up and raise the clutch pedal obviously repeat until you get clean air free fluid out. You may need to manually raise the clutch pedal with your hand during the bleed this is normal. And keep an eye on your clutch fluid level too as you are bleeding the system. Cheers Iain

Cheers Mark Hi there, On the slave cylinder the bleed nipple is not the highest point, You need to remove the slave cylinder fasten the piston back and bleed with the nipple held at the highest point. cheers Gary
