skinz Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 hi all names craig from dundee, got myself a version 2 sti had her since april, an its been pretty much happy motoring, until last night when i left 3rd gear on the bypass. now i need to know what gearbox's can i use to replace this? what options have i got and likely costs ? and what info do i need to find out ? i'll be replacing it myself as im handy with a spanner any help greatly appreicated.

scooby222 Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 someone with the necessary knowledge will be along in a minute but welcome to the club and hope you get it sorted soon for my tuppence worth what route you take depends on what plans youve got-if your planning to keep it for a while and bump up the power take the chance to uprate the box now.

mic Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 If you are looking for a box, i got one from a low mileage (55k and Sidc Member) version 5 sti TY754VBAAA, had full intentions of putting it in my uk turbo, but since i gubbed my centre diff i had to find another box.... TY754VBAAA no centre diff, but has rear diff, think your centre diff would work with this? I'm sure someone with enlighten us Michael
