stum450n Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 (edited) But it's not a scoob it's a black mk3 golf tdi - got her for running about in really so she could do with a spruce up but I'll get on to that in the new year when I sell her on. Nothing like the scoob but quite nippy around town! Edited May 4, 2010 by stum450n
gc8-r Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 thought it was going to be a 200 then,.... there quite nice, but will you ever use the scooby again after all that luxury????
stum450n Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 Nope, no pics. Didn't expect to be buying it tbh, stopped by a friends on the way back from Somerset and ended up leaving with it! Was dark when we got home.

Errrr, luxury??!?! It's not a patch on the scoob mate - new box but gear changes are horrible. New brakes but they're spongey - torque steer like you wouldn't beleive and above all, it's an oil burner ffs!!!!
gc8-r Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 how much did you pay stu... as could be my new car.....
stum450n Posted December 7, 2009 Author Posted December 7, 2009 how much did you pay stu...as could be my new car..... Err, less than I can insure it for! let's just say it was mates rates and then some!
stum450n Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 Well she's gone now and been replaced with a ratty old 7 seater but I thought I would show you how 'Lady Penelope Chuggington Smythe' ended up before she went... Before (LOTS of cosmetic rust!!!!): During: After: Oh, and 'scuse the pics, they were taken on my phone. The "Skank Tank" will be getting a similar treatment but as there's very little rust, I'll be looking to do something a little special with the colour(s)
stum450n Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 Hey Stu - where did you buy that from? I recognise it...... looks like you've done a nice job mate Friend of ours, lives in Witney works at Benson so quite possible.
stum450n Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 Cheers! Got a rotary polisher for my Birthday so it'll be a damn sight easier should I need to do it again... seems a pity the new project will [hopefully] never see polish again!
