my reader picked up the 1131 code(obd11) Front oxygen sensor circuit malfunction (short circuit)

is it just(wallet twitches) a replacement needed or is there a possibility of a wiring fault....with the mention of short circuit

Col,

Are you still fannying around with this  I would suggest that it needs replaced dude...give Ian Grieve's a phone or Hypertech as they will give you a price for a new one.

IIRC they arent hugely expensive.

PS that wallet twitches when someone mentions "its your round" ;) ;)

:P thats daylight robbery!!!! the last one I bought was £69 IIRC

Mind you, if its sorts the problem then I'd be biting the bullet. :)

Have you thought about the fact that with this code the car might be running in "limp mode" hence why you are getting little boost!!?

Na Gus,its still a quick ish motor comparing to n/a cars, obviously its not running how it should with a duff oxy/lambda sensor. How does yours feel coming on boost...is it a defo shove in the kidneys or what? :P

Not quite as oooyaaa as the Impreza but not far off :P

I'm saying about the "limp mode" because I know when the one time the Fozzy threw a code there was deffo a significant drop in boost until I flashed the code :)
