Airbox Hose Change

This might be as it is supposed to be, but changed the OEM airbox hose to a Samco one on Friday there. Panel filter in airbox already. Not the same sooking air flow noise now as I used to get...is that how it's supposed to be cause the hose is smooth ?? Quite liked it when you went from foot flat down - change gear - hear a subtle little whoosh from the airbox !

Also the air box doesn't quite fully flush fit in to the bottom slots as I think the hose was a bit longer, will this matter (actually question more if that's the panel than the hose change??) ?

The car doesn't need any kind of remap thingy now for such a small change does it ?? Don't think so but best just to check suppose.

I had to cut my samco hose slightly in lenght to fit just right.

Cant say i noticed any change in sound after fitting the hose though.

You dont have to get the car mapped mateif youve only fitted an airbox hose..
