Turbo Probs

hi all, i need some friendly advice on my turbo, i was just on the verge of putting my classic wrx inport on the market to up grade to a newage when my turbo started making a noise as i drive along, is allmost like a bearing drone. but the thing is it still runs fine with no missfire, no engine light on , i can still put the hammer down if i wanted and no smoke filling up the road behind me, if anyone has a clue what it could be i by them a nice cold drink at the next meet. and fingers crossed i be in my newage scoobe.

do you have any smoke on tickover?

What model year of scoob do you have (I am assuming its a TD05 turbo you have fitted) and when does the noise appear?

hi mate its 97 import, as far as i now its a standerd turbo, its started friday after i lead footed it, there was a puff of smoke when i started it up this morning but soon cleared when warmed up, i thinking the bearing gone?

Is the noise constant on boost? When exactly does the noise appear?

theres a slight drone on tick over, but constant on norm and i think under boost.
