lumsden26 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 a mate of mine has just fitted a whiteline rear anti roll bar and he recons its night and day difference between the handleing but also says its really easy to get the back end out. does an anti roll bar make such a huge difference or is there a better way to spend £200?

Good question, im also thinking of fitting a 22mm ARB to my STi. Does it make the back end skittish?
scoobysailor Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I got mine fitted at the same time as some other whiteline stuff (front strut brace, droplinks and anti lift kit) and the difference was like night and day, it just felt so much more planted when cornering.......I've not noticed the back end getting twitchy (but I drive like an old woman!!)
thefastone Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Do 22mm Rear Anti Roll Bar, with Solid Drop Links all round, yes, it does make a huge difference. Do it now!

Do it now! got the same set up plus atlk running 4.5degrees castor and 2.5 camber, she wont budge and thats in the wet. Set up by whiteline.
RATechnology Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 As suggested above getting a whiteline Rear Roll Bar and Alloy Drop Links is about the best way you can spend £200. When your budget allows Anti Lift Kit will make it superb! (Just remember to have the geometry setup after fitting)
notsosmall Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I just put the front droplinks on and they have made a huge difference, stiffened the front up Rear 22mm anti roll bar and droplinks next on the list, cant wait

That's the set up I have with ALK and the difference from standard is phenominal.

Roads are very bumpy about my way(highlands, just like my own wee private track lol) so didnt want the coilovers to be too stiff. Heard BC are a better ride than Tein's etc?? Thats the plan just now, putting AF re-map off for now till handling sorted. Better fun going fast round corners anyway! Cheers for the help.
