Its the first time i have put my impreza on the rollers......i am now the happiest man alive!!!! I have got a full decat system with headers and afterburner vortex back box. A cone air filter. Front mount intercooler kit. Walbro 255lph fuel pump. LEDA coilovers. Strut bar. Whiteline drop links. Guesses for power please?!?! I was only thnking 250bhp.... Heres the video its in the album....... http://s582.photobucket.com/albums/ss263/satinscooby/
20withascooby Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 310bhp ???? loving the paintjob and the flames
Scooby Hoo? Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 310bhp ???? loving the paintjob and the flames About 242 bhp AT THE WHEELS Don't bother about whats at the flywheel on a sunny day. It's the bhp & torque at the tyre end that counts. The paintwork looks interesting
mikkers Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Are you running a front mount with a standard turbo on a newage? I take you are looking at quite a hefty power increase in the future. Normally a decat plus remap on a newage is 270-285bhp.
martin25161000 Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 well ladies...... just to put you out of your misery i got 298bhp with no remap!!! and the intercooler kit was from a company on ebay and i only paid 220quid for it!bargain!!! HMMMMMMMMM Flames!!!! lol
granby Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 well ladies...... just to put you out of your misery i got 298bhp with no remap!!! and the intercooler kit was from a company on ebay and i only paid 220quid for it!bargain!!!HMMMMMMMMM Flames!!!! lol So your running a FMIC & decat with no remap, hmmm think that 298bhp might only be for a short while

Good figures though. Edited April 28, 2009 by Mikkers

Think there must have been a very generous operator Mikkers. TD04 peaks at 5500, must be boosting 1.7 -1.8 peak for that sort of bhp, way outside the safe zone. Mine was boosting 1.6 and only making 256bhp at the fly. Now makes 253.5 at the wheels(318 at the fly) on vf34,550, sport 3"downpipe, sti intercooler Not sure td04 can get enough air mass in, normally top out at about 280-285 on a very cold day. Would love to see the print out of the figures.

martin25161000 Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 Ill try and scan the print out for you but it is only boosting at 0.7 bar and safe as a bird, the walbro fuel pump made so much difference when i put that in, guy at austec said they respond so well with the front mount, as you can see by the flames there is plenty of fuel and it runs so sweet, they did 3 runs and the lowest it got to was 292. Not really sure about it all to be honest, i was expecting 250 but it may have been mapped before i bought it as my power bhp on the graph is like this / it literally goes straight. the torque curve is smooth as well. your all just jealous... lol

prodrive tony Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Maybe there's been some work been done internally? Great figures, check my spec below (all Ebay mod's). Putting out 315ish at flywheel.

darryl_martin Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 (edited) Where abouts in the rev range did it peak at the 298? Any peak torque figure to go with it and again at what rpm? Just curious. Also is that a wheels or flywheel figure and how do you work it out? Thanks Edited April 29, 2009 by Padtwo

Thought you had a better run than me Tony you should be tipping 322ish. What boost are you running? Mines 1.48 tops.

Scooby Hoo? Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I reckon that Martin must have been blowing some of that "Funny" tobacco smoke into the air filter to get those figures at .7 of a bar. Your car can't be a standard WRX.

martin25161000 Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Well i rebuilt the enfine myself about 13000 miles ago but i only did the crank and bearings etc as i spun a bearing on no1, the pistons are stock with 99k miles on the clock. ill get the print out scanned in tonight for you all then you can all break it down for me It does make me wonder if its had work before though because as soon as i fitted the walbro it was like a completely different car the power just keeps coming under your right foot! max power was at 7340rpm 298.7bhp and max torques were at 5840rpm 236.8lb/ft it did 134.6mph in fourth. The fiestas were pushing 129bhp with mods so i think the rollers were pretty accurate as they did a bog standard focus st that came out at 223bhp
