Steering Clunk :(

Hi, noticed this morning while driving really slow toward end of journey a clunk from back while turning. Basically turned right 90 degrees and it was a clunkish effect that felt like it was from rear. Had no other problems going round roundabouts etc....earlier, just when parking up and driving really slow. Anything to worry about? any ideas? cheers

Do you know what setting your diff was on mate?

Not touched diff and it is rolled to back. Get a 0 on dash pretty sure this is off. Don't get any clunking in reverse either.

did it feel like that when you first drove it...as time goes by you notice all the little creaks and knocks

and now its freeing it self up

i know two way diffs get louder the more worn in they get.......? just a thought

Only happened twice, once on way back from picking car up turning right from being stationary at lights, then this morning similar thing. Not sure if noises are normal etc...... ordering gasket today chris so will give you a shout when in

ok mate about all week and weekend.

can you pop over here as car wont move far.....big red light on dash(no juice)

and got plenty of b+cluch cleaner...

Drive home was Ok yesterday no knocks etc..... have an idea it might just be slow right 90 degrees turns? Chris ordered gasket so hopefully get over yours this weekend but if not def next week if OK + you are around .

Hi guys,

I'm new in subaru and I need some help here, I am getting some cranking noise from the DCCD in auto mode while turning.Does that means that central diff is going down and need to be replaced.

The car has 55mil but have no idea what has been done on this car becouse I bought it two month ago.

I have the axact same symptoms with my sti... been to the dealer a couple of times about this and they say its normal... sure as hell dont feel it, but they say all the sti's with dccd does it and they have not yet had one with any complications.

Even though mine was on auto, people say it can happen in all modes. will keep an eye on it and try a drive with lock on me thinks

worth getting it looked at mate...

and will be about anytime over the weekend as trying to do shocks this week....
