Couldn't keep it to myself any longer

You mentioned to me not long ago that you were possibly thinking of changing to something different Gramps.

I will put money on it that when your car is all running with the new lump your be glad you never changed car.

A sorted Impreza running at 400 or more is SO much fun.

If I were you mate EXE TC is your next mod. I would find it hard to believe that there is a better suspension out there.

Cornering near the limits with EXE TC fitted can be scary.

If you want, I will take you for a fast run through the lanes in my car and you can then judge for yourself ;)

What do Zen , etc do with the old engine, gearbox etc- do they deduct from the price and sell on or do you get a spare engine??

I've no idea Trevor, suppose i could make the old engine into a coffee table :laughing4:

At 330 bhp it's got to be up for sale.

PS if your giving it away I have a carpeted garage waiting to look after it.

If Paul thinks he may be able to sell engine / box on, he may offer you something & deduct it of final bill.

On the other hand if he feels that he may be stuck with the items you will need to collect it when your car is finished.

Gramps if you need to collect your old engine & box, or you wish to keep it give me a shout and I will follow you up in one of the vans.

Its great to see these projects going ahead, love to see what can be done. Great engine, cant wait,

Just fitted those Perrin roll bars Gramp's, stiff is a understatement!!! :laughing4:

Told you so :barf: , did you go for 25mm rear & 22mm front, i've got the rear on it's softest setting  and haven't tried the other 2 settings yet

I'm running 25/22 and it is stiff but you get used to it

you will bring it home with you if they are any good, but i cannot imagine there is much call for second hand 5 speed rex box or lump unless to forge and then resell

i wouldnt think paul will want them "have to ask"

without the supporting mods its a 220 bhp wrx lump so no real resale value

Been having a bit of a fettle with the front bumper as it didn't quite fit right after fitting the FMIC, APS supply templates for what you have to cut out of the bumper which were fine around the main opening but in the fog light area they weren't enough (maybe the wagon bumper is slightly different), so it was out with the dremel and cut away

The FMIC bar was also a nice place to mount a couple of my HID ballasts

Also trimmed of the opening for the FMIC with some edging trim and made a grille to give some protection for the FMIC
