braveheart Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 Still over in the middle east and not spoke to my engine builder in a wee while, so was wondering what stage we are at ?? So an update most of everything has arrived new RCM turbo and waste gate RCM,rotated kit, also looking at getting most of this ceramic coated to reduce the heat, just sourcing the best place to take the bits and piecies, or should i say stevie is, has started on the new heads with all the new cams & porting and shimming once again, so a set of STI 2 heads all ported for sale also a Ecutek soon ,Still waiting on all the fuel set up to be delivered and exhaust, should arrive soon Waiting on more info on the solarise ECU from MR A Forrest ...also looking into plumbing in a fire extinisher to the engine bay just for a piece of mind, dont know if it will happen this time as of the time frame for as for next week Stevie will be full time on mines to have it finished for July.. asked for some pics will post when he has plumbed most of it.. Chris alan jeffrey got my turbo all ceramic coated, pretty sure its zirkotek(sp) they use...looks pretty good mate.... glad to hear it all coming together nicely, mines shouldnt be far away either... scott

braveheart Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 (edited) Well another wee mod just bought, purchased a nice cage, been looking one for a while as i dont want to weld or cut more so will be built around the dash things are coming togeather very nicely.. looking at a new set of Dynamic Wheels in Shiny Black ... im very tempted indeed.. Just heard that the Solarise would be a bit of a nightmare fitting on my car Pat needs to make a new loom so his ecu will mate to mines. New sensors need to be fitted to the engine and new looms also made for these sensors. Andy F say's I'll be looking around £2000 installed and mapped. So i think i will need to go to Option 2 fitting the Simtek... hopefully this is a easier option and not so pricey. just means i can spend more money on other wee mods...he he Regards Chris

So no joys there.
