Guest Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Problem number 4 - still hoping to make knockhill on saturday! Got a misfire or hesitation under full load and boost - believe it is the coils as just fitted new ngk iridiums and had the mapping checked. I have single coil packs and no ht leads - is there any accurate way to test coil packs? where can I get a set of good secondhand ones? cheers, Nyle.

johnnyr6 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Take them out and remove the rubber. Then check them for any cracks etc. Also visually check the contact plate for corrosion. Johnny.

Ill second that if the car is a classic, overtightening them on re installation can cause them to crack, when you put them in just nip them dont crank them on. Callum W
