RS Grant Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 ...well as most of you know, the reason I was selling the SpecG was to buy a particular Escort Cosworth that I'd wanted for a long time and had been trying to sort a deal out on for just over a year!! The woeful side of this is that the deal has now fallen through, but in the meantime, I have done a deal to move the SpecG on in preparation for the new arrival. Cheers, Grant
cullenmin Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Ne good to hear. What happened, has the cossie owner decided to keep it or what? I know a guy that has a very low mileage, mint original condition cossie. He thought about selling it a couple of years back but didnt, as far as I know the guy still has it. Is it worth me finding out about it for you? Rich
mystery machine Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Pity about that, Grant. Cossie is an icon, a fact that is reflected in the used prices...
thewelsho Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Dont you get it? the SpecG doesn't want to be moved on! Keep the bl00dy thing!
fai17 Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Dont you get it? the SpecG doesn't want to be moved on! Keep the bl00dy thing! Nice reply m8...take a hint Grant!

Is it worth me finding out about it for you? Rich Cossie will be staying in the owners hands and the underside is going to be prepares so that the car can be entered in Modified Concours competitions at the shows this year... ...to be honest, I'd had my heart set on this one because it was as mint as mint could be, but was spec'd to around 400bhp, had APs, 18" Racelines, Mint Interior, Concours Exterior.. will actually be featured in Fast Ford, the magazine guys are choking to get hold of it once the engine is run in and its been mapped up. Appreciate the offer though mate. Pity about that, Grant.Cossie is an icon, a fact that is reflected in the used prices... Dont you get it? the SpecG doesn't want to be moved on! Keep the bl00dy thing! Nice reply m8...take a hint Grant! Haha, I agree guys... its a shame and it appears that the SpecG doesn't want to leave, various deals have been agreed, but its always managed to keep its place in my garage. Think this time is a wee bit different though, cause the deal has been done and the ball seriously in motion now. So failing the new owner taking pity on the sight of a full grown dundonian man crying on his empty driveway ...it shall end up over Falkirk way in the next fortnight probably. Cheers, Grant
jimser Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 sorry to hear that grant, sounds like a minter of a cossie
dan_jess Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Shame about that Grant. What about the white Cosworth Andy Gallacher is building?
thefastone Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 BUt then Grant, you've said that the deal is done, AT LEAST twice before... "Yeah I'm just waiting for them to come and collect it" Real shame about your dream car though mate... but put it this way, when he DOES decide to sell it on, He knows how badly you want it, and you should get first dibs... can only be a matter of time...
Spaceman Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Believe me and grant the deal is done Spec G is going to east Kilbride as soon as its allowed. Get looking for an rb320 grant or M3 go on
