sczscoob Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Hey folks, got my car up on the ramps today & everything looks good underneath, but there was an advise on the last MoT for the track rod ends. The drivers side is the worst but i'll get them both changed out. But i think while i'm at it i'l get the 22mm Anti-Roll bar & the Whiteline drop links to go. Is there anything else you think i should get (Within divorcing reason! ) i could get & where's the best place to get the stuff i need? Cheers Wayne
paul555sti Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) As you are a bit far up north to suggest hypertech it might be worth sending a pm to cusco kid ( george ) . He will be able to sort you out with what ever whiteline kit you need. I think most folk go with the 24mm rear bar but i will let somebody who knows what they are talking about take it from here. Not sure I'm qualified to know what I'm talkign about, but I'd suggest if your tightening the front, you MUST do the rear first (or at the same time).. I've currently fallen into that trap.. Uprated the drop links all round and fitted strut braces.. car handles like pish just now and just understeers (almost worse than standard) because the front is proportionalyl stiffer than the front.. I should have uprated the rear ARB before doign the front drop-links.. But the old onese were worn.. I'd try to avoid just uprating the front ARB on it's own...
cullenmin Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Aye you'll need to stiffen the rear if your doing the front. 22mm or 24mm adjustable rear ARB 22mm fixed front ARB front & rear droplinks wire or solid that will make a big difference to the handling of the car after a geometry setup. All depends what you want to spend, whether you go 22mm rear or the beefier 24mm, and whether you want the solid droplinks or wire. If your purchasing from cusco kid or AWD then I could pick the kit up for you, as you know I'm always up & down the road anyway Rich

Im not going to spend the money on power I would rather go for handling. Would this same set up be the one to go for then? Theres various group buys and deals as the market is crumbling. Rough prices anyone???
