Why can you live a little closer mate I am quite good with electrics lol, I could probably find the fault :)

It would have been added as an extra after the car was imported so it is probably a poor/broken connection if it is not the bulb.

Ah I see, all you need then is a power source at the front of the car, dash area (mount a fuse as close to the power source as possible, I am not sure off the top of my head what the rating is) run a wire to the switch from the power source then from the switch tho the +ive terminal on your light then all you need is an earth from your light to the body of the car :)

does it need a fog for mot

cheers chris

Hi Chris, it does need a rear fog for the mot, it is supposed to be fitted on the o/s nearest the centre of the road, i have fitted sti lamps to my uk spec car and that didnt have any, i have converted one of my reverse lamps into a fog lamp with a multi led bright bulb. so you dont have a big square thing hanging underneath!! i can point you in the right direction if your wiring is the same, mine has 2 different plugs in the boot, one for uk spec and one for jap spec lamps. on the uk lamp plug there is a blue wire with yellow chaser and silver stripes, this is the one that was linked to the switch, however if yours is a jap import then you prob dont have a switch so as iain says take a positive from either the battery or fuse box, you will need an inline fuse fitted before the switch, then a live from switch to lamp and earth to ground.

Im in same situ, 2 reverse lights and no fog light though I do have time to get one fitted. The wiring inside is all a$$ about face so am sure it has the original fog light cable in there. Just the guy wired 2 reverse lights instead grr

Ok mate I am away this weekend so Ill PM you after this weekend is over, I have swtich installed already and the wiring should be there from previous lights. SO may be a little different though as long as the wiring is accesible shouldnt be a problem

Thanks alot matey
