moochofun Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Howdoo, I'm looking for some help. I'm currently booked on the trackday on 28th March at Knockhill and have a query. I'm hoping to give some passenger laps to a youngster (9yr old loon) who won them in a local charity raffle. Do any of you know if SIDC have any retsrictions on their trackdays with regards to height or age etc? I have spoken to Knockhill and all they have is a height limit of 4ft 2in. I thought it prudent to ask SIDC as well so can any of you help? The car he will be going round in is a Westfield so perhaps a bit more apt to ask than if he was going around in a tin top; not meaning that it is any faster but that he is more 'open' to the elements etc. (before anyone jumps in )
Spaceman Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) didn`t think there was a heigh one t but there was told there was an age restriction of 16 but phone knockhill see what they say Greig Edited February 22, 2009 by Spaceman
st3ph3n Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Bananaman, Don't think there's any hard and fast rules. I've seen kids under 16 on plenty of times. As long as they were safe inthe car and had permission of a parent then I wouldn't think it would be a problem. Does tinkerbell know you're booked on for this?
arch Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 From memory I think they have to be of sufficient height to be safe in the seat belt, or they have to use a booster seat to ensure the seat belt is not round their neck if your using harnesses then there is no issue. John S would be the best person to PM for definate clarification.
