I know of nutter that will be approaching 600bhp in the next 2 weeks

Nutter isn't the word i was gonna use

Why not put your name down for the dyno day and we can see what it makes

If you tell me the word you were going to use, I may consider the dyno day

Been advised 560 with the 30/37 Turbo or 580 with the next turbo up. They did not say the spec/model of that one.

Will be laggy using the big one though boosting at around 5000+

The 30/37 has been mentioned as the optimum for my engine and will prove quicker than a large turbo. Actually one guy who does have sound knowledge and owns a car that will soon be running 600+ with race fuel said that RCM's new 30/37 with 44mm waist gate will prove the best performance for the road (with my engine).

I can't do that as this is a public forum

Boosting at 5000 WTF, you don't want that as it will make it a crap road car, don't bother chasing numbers and go for the turbo that will make it a great road car

I'm not Gramps. RCM have opted for the turbo that kicks in at around 4K

JGM has a good point.

The initial question of this thread could have many answers.

BHP / lb ft / standing quarter / 0 - 60 / 60 - 0 / 30 -130 / lap times / Lateral G / Peak G / Power to Weight ratio's and so on.

Big BHP figures do not determine the fastest car. Big Lb/ft means nothing if the car is too heavy. BHP & lb/ft are only two different scientific calculations of the engines output, not the VEHICLES performance !.

In all levels of motor sports or high end modifications the only important factor for success is Power to Weight ratio's.

The cars with the best PTW that can generate good mechanical grip will always win.

Last year F1's were knocking out 640 - 700bhp. Top Fuels were knocking out between 7600 - 8020 bhp. I have not got a clue about the lb ft because it's never mentioned, so it cannot be generally rated as an accurate source of vehicle performance.

At the end of the day we all drive a vehicle, not an engine.
