Help Needed

i have removed everything from gearbox attaching it to either car or engine but cant get them to separate they only come apart around an inch and a half but not right off???

any help would be great im in my old clothes with a mate to hand right now so can do right away and report back

look where the starter is, under the starter there is an 10mm allen key bung, remove this, and use a battery securing rod and screw this into the pin which sits behind the bung. wiggle the pin out as this hold the gearbox to the release bearing

if done that 2 big screw drivers and lever gearbox off the dowels

spot on neil it was release bearing! its mt first shot at doing this so pretty pleased with how its going bar this lol cheers for the help bud!!!!!!!

Funny how this post came up iv been changing my gearbox since half 6 this morning

All on my tod. Got it out and the new in just need to put it all back together

me too craig im planning the bolt up tomorrow morning heading through to paisley to pick up a back box at wknd then my scoobie is rolling again! cant wait!
