last year a LOT of it was all pedestrians only, always awkward mate as even if you do get parked "near by" so is everyone else then trying to get home...... not fun. my mates took over 3 hours to get out through stampede of traffic and bodies in roads

Snowballs chance in hell, is the expression that comes to mind Col. Am back in work on Monday night and will post up precisely what time the roads are closing - usually very early - and just how far the exclusion zone goes out, even then got parking to think about. I went up by train last year as they do lay on a lot of late trains out of town but even then its a real pain - we were on Waterloo Bridge and it must have taken the best part of an hour to do the short walk along the Strand to Charing X station as you're all herded along between crush barriers. Personally wouldn't even think about the car m8y

Have you thought about driving part the way then jumping a train?

You wont get anywhere near the embankment by car mate. My son has gone up to watch the fireworks for the past 3 yrs and he said it's manic every year, but well worth it.

:D im sorry to say i got back  i had a brill time, i got in london easy parked up by 12midday, & left at 1am, got home at 3am :D

apart from being cold it was great, well worth going, i came home over vauxhall bridge, police done a great job in keeping the cars moving, saw some sites of people drunk along the streets, including someone on top of a double decker bus dancing naked lol, went in tate art gallery, took kids to trafager sq, then went to kensington high street for something to eat, then went to victoria & had drink in the duke of york by little ben, then walked down to embankment to get a good view about 6ish :D:mad:
