mic
What advantage does an FMIC have over a decent top mount, say an sti 7/8/9 one? Won't be running more than 400bhp Cheers, Michael Link to comment
ryan_gwa
Better volumetric efficiency for your engine, as there is a greater area for heat dissipation. Running a small turbo would create more lag due to the larger/longer pipework? Link to comment
sti pretender
Jimser is still on a top mount with well over 400. Link to comment
scoobzie
advice from andy f if you just do quarter mile stick with top mout as ie lag and that are a minimum only go front mount if you do track days or drive on the roads top mounts heat up to quickly for the track and you lose power that was how he defined it for me Link to comment
mic
Cheers guys, probably best with fmic then Link to comment
Guest CRAIG D
i found with my last scooby that once you get over say about 90mph the air which goes over the scoop rather than through it. it used to sent the temp gauge up a few notches suppose then impreza's were more low to mid range cars. Then i moved to a fmic and deffo noticed the differance Link to comment
