Scooby Hoo? Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 (edited) Well what a year it has been with new members coming and going and some old members getting back in a Scooby, well done Trev, you know it makes sense. Some more very popular Tunnel runs. Finances in turmoil but Steve and Clive managed to fund there projects with some great results and more to come. It must be like climbing Everest, the last bit being the hardest to achieve. Well nothing worth having comes easily, so press on and NO I can't lend you a fiver for the Burger Stall. The Meets this year have seen good numbers turn up with some good pre-meet runs arrange by you boys down the line. Sundays had been poorly supported so it was decided to rearrange those meets and give us the chance to meet up with SES. There have been some Great Sunday runs organised and Hasting must have been the one to do. It saw a good percentage of the club attend and a nice time was had by one and all. The Club attend some good shows this year, my own favorite being the Drift Show at Lyddon in early May, some pricey metal, close viewing of the cars and co-drivers and having the chance to take your car out on the course. And to cap it off the sun shone all day, looking forward to next years. At long last the club managed to get a Gazebo, thanks to a lot of hard work by Mark and it has been put to good use during the year helping to promote the club at shows. Along with the Banners donated by the SIDC. Big Jay took on the task of getting the club regalia and most of us now have some piece of ware with the club name on, well done Jay. Just pm him your needs. The Club opened a bank account so that money is not sitting in peoples pockets, waiting to pass over anymore and we will be able to focus on new purchases in the future. I would like you to all join me in thanking Ian for his roll as the SIDC Regional Organiser and all the behind the scenes work that he does as well as his work for the Club. Well have a fabulous Christmas and may all your little projects come together in the new year and I can't finish without saying a BIG SPECIAL THANK YOU to all those members that have helped through out the year and your know who you are, also a big welcome to our very new Tiny Tot members, not forgetting all the hard work that there parents had to put in behind the scenes. HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL Kind Regards and Best Wishes Scooby Hoo? Edited December 21, 2008 by Scooby Hoo?

granby Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Nice post Hugh Thanks to everyone that made the effort this year and attended some great shows as Kent Scoobies roll on 2009 MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL
mikkers Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 And big thanks to Hugh too for organizing the rally day, it was a great day. Granby efforts throughout the year have been appreciated by all members, sorting out just about every event in the calender and overseeing payment for certain things is a big ask for anyone but Granby does it all very effectively and in his spare time. Kent is one of the busier and livier regions here and that is testament to the fact that its a great group of people who have made me feel welcome this year.

fudge Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Yep I would have to agree with all aforementioned. I have recently been requested to pay my annual subscription so I guess it's one year in the club for me. It's been really nice to meet you guys and girls and also to make many new friends. I echo the respectful remarks regarding Granby. Much of his spare must be devoted and you do a great job mate. Thanks. As for "the bitch" she will be finished next year. The remaining work has been bought forward. Week 2 of Jan will be all transmission works & Wk 4 will be going twisted. March/April will be fitted with The Gobstoppers "Gas O ring" Nitrous system. The engine will deliver an estimated 720 bhp on demand. Have A Great Christmas and A Happy Health 2009 Fudge

Have A Great Christmas and A Happy Health 2009 Fudge Well I think that if she achieves 720bhp, out of respect for the Brothers, you should rename her GOBS AGGER. Great news Clive enjoy the waiting period.
