Cel Comes On Then Goes Off

Four times in the last month my CEL has come on then gone off, cel goes off once the car picks up speed. The light comes on just after I start the car and is warm. The longest amount of time it has stay on, was for 10min while in traffic. The car drives fine, idles around 750rpm, holds boost. Then last night it happened again and noticed the revs were dropping down 500rpm. Soon as I blipped the throttle the CEL went out and it idled around 750 again. Have notice though it using more fuel than normal.

I have tried to find the black and green cables but where are they. Tried to follow JGM guide.

The only mods to the car is, blitz cat back, sti panel filter and a walbro fuel pump (which is coming out no need for it). Forgot to say its a MY99 sti

My thinking is either the lamba sensor or the maf.

I had similar problem and then lost speedo and revs. The speedo cable had broke where it attachies to the clocks.

the green and black cabels are under the steering collum next to the steering linkage to the rack. 2 screws and two popers and the underside of the dash pops off. im new to the impreza world but had to do the same thing on sat to do a dig. check
