T123VOR Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) Obvious problems I can think of with newage scoobs rear suspension knocking and needing replacing (had it go on 2 out of 3 of my newages) Batterys are sheet (had it go on 1 out of 3 of my newages) Black STIs are slow.... It appears very well looked after... Edited November 17, 2008 by T123VOR

matthew_buckland Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Has to be another black one, will be good to see another one on the school run. The only problems Marty has had on his one is the suspension which as trevor mentioned needed replacing, hopefully the blokes already done this. Its a lovely looking car, you should go for it.
gary may Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 go for it matey......... the car looks a goodun

Any help please guys if you can , thankscar as much as i hate myself for saying it, that's a bit overpriced (if it's a private sale) does look great though. have you had a look around pistonheads for something a bit nearer? i'm not sure of numbers of black ones around but i didn't think it was a rare colour? just thinking about saving you a long trip i had to travel to chorley to get mine (250 miles each way damn long day that one) but there was only 5 in the country at that time so it had to be done as for common probs, trevor has pretty much covered it. knocking struts is about it only other bit of advice i would give if you do get it and it's got the REO70 bridgestones on is take is easy if it's a cold damp day, they're not as grippy as they should be in those conditions. not dangerous, but these tyres are so good in the dry that it can catch you out this time of year.

imprezyou Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 Thanks I will make some more price enquires tomorrow , if I buy and save a heap then a big round of drinks at the next meet next month 4 all , a promise.
T123VOR Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 "I was thinking around 13.5k? " I paid less than that a few months back for my 05 STI PPP with £9k mods with only 8800 on the clock, tax mot etc so possibly room for more? Looking at the market it doesnt seem strong so really depends whether he needs to shift it quick or not... same with your BM mind so it works both ways... But looks like a nice 'base' car for your usual 'uprating'... haha

Trade is around £9750 at the moment. But as has already been said it does have a nice shine to it, good luck.
