Door Dingers

OK, so a personal hatred of mine and I know that there's a few folks that say 'buy a new car, expect the dents' but I've had my share of old sh!tters and never once dinged the door of another car... ...and believe me, some of them weren't even worth the cost of a touch up pen.

Anyway, parked in tesco's the other week, way out the way of anyone...

....no other cards nearby....

....not even a pushbike...

....came out and guess what:

Could be they are also a door dinger hater and thought by parking next to a quality car that's well looked after they might not be dinged themselves.

Having said that, I parked next to a merc ML the other day, try to avoid 4x4's but didn't have any choice. Looked a bit shabby tho'. When I was walking back woman has her door open on mine while she sorts the kids out in the back, AND the shopping trolley is pushed up against my bumper. She had reversed into the space so would have had to push the trolley between the parked cars, but not thinking about that!!!! When I come back after about 5 minutes, car is gone and trolley is left in the space between the cars!! Pretty much everything I hate about some peoples attitudes when parking and respecting other people's property!!

 I took the kids swimming the other week and when i was queing inside was alerted to my alarm sounding, when i got to the car there was a woman leaving a note on my windscreen, she apologised but said her son was so excited about going swimming he had thrown his door open to get out quicker and hit my drivers door!! She was very apologetic though and offered to pay for any damage, which was quite reassuring as i am sure most would have driven off or moved their car to hide their actions! BUT as the photo above, there was almost only my car in the car park and she chose to park next to me!

had this issue yesterday, left my dad's car a t bluewater as we were working in London. We parked it right out of the way and thought nothing of it. Got back last night only to find a huge dent in the door and damaged paintwork where someone had opened their door on it!!!! Not left a note or anything, and as bluewater have no cameras in the car park no point notifying them! Seems some people just don't care!
