quagmire Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Had a good evening...getting a bit easier meeting some of you all now and not so daunting!!
fudge Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Good night guys & girls. Thinking of de-flapping?.... the car that is, not the wife!
BrianD Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Good evening sorry we couldn't stop longer....
T123VOR Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Good turnout Thanks to the guys at Kentperformance for the brew. Thinking of de-flapping too- however I wouldnt be surprised if the guy hasn't epoxy-bonded them on- haha- he sure liked to make sure bits were secure FFS... Thanks to JK for the advice on the suspension Good to see you again Deano - the kit car looks beautiful Daisy - you need a pull through with a Christmas tree- there's something dead in there...
spannaz Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Big thanks to all for making us feel welcome, wife was a bit worried that it might just be all lads in a carpark, but she was very suprised, and actually enjoyed herself! Little one was asleep shortly after leaving, but even he enjoyed himself. Big thanks to Kent Performance, know where to go for my clutch and bits in future, oh and my rear ARB! lol As most newbies will point out, i'll probably forget all your names by next time, but we'll get there eventually lol all the best Spannaz & Family

j-k Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) Thanks to JK for the advice on the suspension Trev, this is what you MAY need, depending on which coilovers you go for with those wide wheels you are running. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza-Contr...A1%7C240%3A1318 These will NOT be a mod, because your ones looked totally worn out.. jon Edited November 8, 2008 by j-k
mikkers Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Thinking of de-flapping too So i take it the rally 5lag look is out of the window? Good turnout and a good night, lightweight scoobytibs took too long to put his make up on so couldnt make it, and im quite glad i didnt go in McD's by the sound of it. Cheers granby for the cds
T123VOR Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 cheers J-K £530.... maybe I'll try a different route for the time being
T123VOR Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) I'm going to keep the flaps on I think - purely because I have wider wheels and the paint work will get battered even more than a usual STI!! I think skullfudge thought the same Edited November 8, 2008 by T123VOR
scoobytibs Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 (edited) was looking forward to this meet bloody m25 stuck on it for 3 hours gutted when i got in couldnt face driving so drunk shandy bass instead got mashed Edited November 8, 2008 by scoobytibs
Jamessti Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Nice meeting a few of you, thanks to Pele for looking over my engine.
fudge Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I'm going to keep the flaps on I think - purely because I have wider wheels and the paint work will get battered even more than a usual STI!!I think skullfudge thought the same I think you made the correct decision Trevor. Not just the dirt & cleaning aspect but in time stone chips. I am remaining flapped.

fudge Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 (edited) Racing???? who was racing? If ol' Plod thought that was racing I would suggest he spent five minutes in his dictionary heading directly for the letter "R". Edited November 9, 2008 by skullfudge
Pele Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 I forgot to say thanks to J-K for the gearknob although I did get asked several times during the course of the evening why I was standing there with a knob in my hand.....
