scouk Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 ... To buy the Colin McRae rally legend dvd... Arrived today and only watched part of it so far but it's already having an effect effect on me... ... Most notibly a silly idea... There's been suggestions that the McRae gathering should be an annual event.. Well I'm with the organisers in that no way! Not only does it mean a huge amount of planning but also it should be kept as a unique event.. and one off.. Hopefully never to be repeated... if it get's re-run then it'll only serve to dampen the great event that it truely was.. But maybe we can have an annual celebration/memorial rally of impreza's (& maybe McRae fans) with a tour of Scotland.. Don't mean to rip off the Richard Burns Relay, but what about a relay of runs around the coast of scotland avoiding main trunk roads and keeping to safe sensible & legal driving, enforcing that just like ont eh gathering convoy we are a good sensible bunch really... Either do the whole run or just drive in your own region's leg of the journey.. Maybe get an item of some sort that we can take round the coast from region to region all round and meet back up at lanark Maybe I'm taking it a bit far.. Who knows... But was just a thought that wen't through my mind earlier and havent event though it out properly... But still.. would be nice to have some sort of annual McRae day/run maybe even something less complex like our Highland Run this year... (again fuel prices may stop such a thing dead )
micra_wrc Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I'll be up for that......... if someone else organises it
hosstheboss Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I couldn't make the McRae Gathering so it would be great to take part in something like this.
