I have just flown back after two weeks in Spain - so thanks for that.

I was hoping that perhaps yourself or one of the other people who like to make magnanimous decisions - may have sorted something out by now???

I am working my way down all the threads, but 'I' had assumed that the bash was going to be in the original venue???

Is it not happening at the park in Maidstone then?

It was Teston with 12/13 names, then Battle with 8/9 of those names confirmed and then EUREKA cancelled it/the whole thead??

Think there has been some confusion over this (slight understatement), i thought it had been cancelled but was told last week that it was only the overnight camping that was cancelled and not the BBQ but i forgot to alter the thread

i cancelled the camping nothing else certainly not ther birthday bash which is also says on the thread

as those who wanted to do japbash did so but those whom had other arrangments can arrange something for when it is convenient for them as you can see no one has stepped forward to arrange anything so by this all i can assume is nothing is happening

Bit silly writing CANCELLED over the WHOLE THREAD really then!

A lot of People (including me) , put their name down for Battle on the original date. - why cancel that??

It was me that put cancelled over the thread as i explianed in the above post as i thought it had all been cancelled, my mistake

I came back and find a post asking what 'I' am doing about the party (attempting to insinuate that because 'I' could do a differrent date to the original one in the first post* - organisation is all now down to me), backed up by a second post by someome who seems to KNOW why the original thread has died, - but claims ignorance.

* 'I' am not the 'only' one who could not make Japbash - including BAZ!!!

Call me old fashioned - but im a bit pissed off.

so i was asking if he knew where it was,

I knew THAT eureka had cancelled the overnite camping @ the location that he found..

i was just wanting more info in where it was..

i didnt mean to to aim it @ you HOL!!!

i just read it as you are an ORIGINAL MEMBER, that always attends these certain meet.

& was just asking

i aint claiming nothing mate i cancelled it because some of the original people could not do or were too tight to pay the 12 quid then other members then said they would rather do the teston thing so i cancelled the camping as pele said cant please all the people

i know that you hol have done your bit and more for this club over the years but ! there are also members that do nothing for the club other that turn up at meets then when others try to arrange things for the club those just moan because they cannot do the dates proposed i wouldnt mind but do those ever try to do anything NO THIS IS A CATCH 22 THING AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE SAME unfortunatly

With this club you're damned if you do and damned if you don't!!!! You are never going to please everyone and just have to put up with all the comments when a descision is made, there are always one or two and usually the same one or two who moan no matter what.

I seem to have put up with a lot more than some of the other clubs who's forums I observe, but at the end of the day I'm still here to try and help everyone as best I can and I'm still smiling

Anyway I think someone needs to make a firm descision on this, so I'll stick my neck out and say Teston Bridge on the above mentioned date!!!!
