fudge Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Just returned from trailering my P1 up to RCMotorsport. Matt made my day by saying he will have it ready for collection Saturday so I can attend the C.Mcrae Gathering (if the sticker arrives!) The loom melted as a result of Anti Lag use. Matt & Olly both suggested that Anti Lag use at low speed generates huge heat increase. I do use the Anti Lag from time to time but from now on will only use when air flow is good. They are heat wrapping the entire area where the problem was. The radiator drain plug melted to the point it had the visual appearance of a jellyfish with Aids. The surface heat of the headers can reach 400 degrees with the Anti Lag active. The loom is also being moved further away from the headers. Will be fine when heat wrapped. Eurosti ?? I think, asked me if RCM have moved into their new unit yet?.........answer is no. They are moving in at the end of the year.
