-------- Help Needed - Total Nightmare Situation --------

Dear all,

After purchasing a 1994 JDM Subaru WRX import turbo over 1 year ago , I am finally thinking of throwing in the towel. The car has been on the road for 1 month of that time. For the rest it has been through total breakdown madness.

Originally purchased approx 1 year ago.

1 week later the clutch collapsed along with the gearbox.

After some time and saving up these were fixed

Approx 1 month later the water tank system failed and cooked the engine (warped head), cooling system shutdown, total electric failure and some other engine parts went crazy in the process

More overtime and saving, a refurb engine was purchased from Ebay and parts were fitted.

After the mechanical side was installed the electrics failed and ECU died.

Some more time passed and I managed to buy a loom and ECU from a breaking / spares on Ebay going cheap

From what I have been told it requires a new loom installation (at that point the car was handed back to me)

I am at a point where it looks like there is no alternative but to get rid of it as it looks like it cannot be fixed (Not even too sure if it is a total electrical loom fault or just a portion of it)

After asking around I have had no luck finding anyone who can help with 94 Subaru electrics

If anyone could offer any advice or know of anyone who might be able to help me please give me a shout.

Thanks,

Luke

To be honest you have spent alot of money on it so far and you could soon have a reliable car.. personally I would stick at it and then enjoy the driving experience once its sorted.

Sorry I cannot help with the technical side but I feel like you have come along way and it will be worth it in the end.
