as there was a suggestion that it should be as per norm i have cancelled the campsite so the members can do that confusion over

As far as i can remember the K/S birthday BBQ used to be in August but in the last couple of years there wasn't much interest

At Bromley pageant it was suggested we have a BBQ / p*** up and camp over night, as August is a very busy month the date of 27th September was agreed on, after a lot of searching by Pele & Eureka a venue was found by Eureka

Eureka suggested we move this to the Japbash on the 23rd/24th August and cancelled the previous date but unfortunately it seems a lot of members can't make this new date so at the moment i'm not sure what is happening

cant promise anything but my mum is one of the managers at the museum of kent life right next to notcutts just asked her to have a word with the owner about overnite camping and bbq ,quite a few clubs use the field so may be in with a chance ,let u know asap

Wasn't having a go at you Steve but just saying how i saw it as there was some confusion, doesn't matter that you've only been around for a year or so as i and others know that when you say your gonna get something done you do it and don't f*** around getting it done

no offence taken bud but there are names popping up that were not even down on the list to go as it was only booked for those of us that confirmed 8 members and familys i believe but never mind ey i will enjoy myself on a weekender at japbash

Not very easy to please everyone in this club lol

Perhaps we could have a pre birthday at JapBash and a quieter one for those that want to bring the family for fun and games at Teston? Just a suggestion, and perhaps then everyone might be happy

well i cant make JAPBASH!!! as im away with family.. (pre booked cant cancel)

would love to make BIRTHDAY BASH but would want to camp (IN A TENT not CAR)

& get RAT FACED..

'Too many cooks' - me thinks.

I think the club could reallly do with a BBQ/Party with fun and games this year. The Birthday BBQ has always been a day thing. The last one we held was actually a really good laugh down at Teston. At the end of the day, we all went home knackered for a rest.

There is no reason why the camping trip/BBQ could not still have gone ahead. The same goes for the Japbash BBQ/beerfest, if people wanted to go. I cannot see why these two singular events were cancelled, if people wanted to go? Is it just because they are not being viewed as the Birthday BBQ?

There is an obvious split of people who want the normal Birthday BBQ, so that they can spend a day having a laugh and those people who want to camp over into the evening so that they can have a beer and a laugh. Surely there is somewhere in central Kent that we can accomplish both goals?

BBQ and games during the day, then those who want to go home - can. Those who want to sleep off the beer can as well.
