fudge Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Was great this year as it was rain free. As with most years it had a huge turn out with 190,000 on Saturday alone. I went on Sunday with a good mate of mine driving his TVR Cerberra and me in the P1. For those of you who have not been before, it's a huge display of motor racing cars and bikes from earliest days to current, and throughout the day hill climbs are run through the estate park road at 1.16 miles long. ( now rated one of the worlds largest motorsport events). Fastest run of the day. 44.5 seconds Silk Cut V12 Jaguar Record holder 41.6 seconds Nick Neidfeld 1999 in a Mclaren MP4/13 F1 teams attended Ferrari - BMW - Mclaren - Toyota - Red Bull all doing doughnuts etc. Hamilton was driving Mclaren and received a thunderous applause everywhere he went. (All F1 cars were 2007 models) There is also a large forest stage to view all types of rally cars from current WRC & current drivers, Group B included Metro 6R4's - Ford RS 200 - Peugeot TE16 - Audi S1 - Renault Turbo and all historic cars too. Hearing the group B's coming past in a forest is total heaven on the ears ! All car stands were showing off the new models - on show was the 2 seater black Ferrari that Chris Evans has just paid £ 6 Million for. All supercars were their too, 3 Varons, (too many to list). Many of the GP and superbike riders were their giving it some up the hill. Great day
