Good Price For A Re-map

Recommended Posts

I was in sanspeed the other week chatting to the fella about plans for the scoob. I spoke to him about getting mine re-mapped and he said that if the car has not been mapped before then I will need to pay for the license, this knocks the bill up to around £600 - £700. If the car has been re-mapped in the past then I will not need the license and it'll only cost me around £300.

What do you guys think of these prices?

i'm sure someone will have something to say about Sanspeed

Not used them myself but a mate of mine has and he said they're alright.

I've no problem with Sanspeed. I've let them work on a few of my other cars and never had a problem. A mate of mine who was at the recent bluewater meet (lots and lots of carbon on a classic with flip paint), recently spent about £15k with them

Having looked through the paperwork for my scoob, I've found a small printout where the car has been on a four wheel rolling road which shows the speed reached on all four corners, I can't however find anything other than this to suggest it has been re-mapped before. Surely though, there is no other reason for the car to have been on a dyno unless it was to find out power output.
