Boyakasha Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 These pics are aswesome !http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1539716 Cal Sorry Cal it will take a lot more than some rims and lowered suspension to make that ugly duckling worth a second glance. Hawkeye all the way brother
iainc Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Sorry Cal it will take a lot more than some rims and lowered suspension to make that ugly duckling worth a second glance.Hawkeye all the way brother Got to agree with you there, although the new one looks better with the different wheels/suspension I still massively prefer the hawkeye.
Boydie. Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 The impreza for me will always be a 4dr Sedan, IMO the car being that low with that size of wheels make it look like a toy. Proportions are all over the place
thewelsho Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 (edited) It's a nice improvement and it does look good but no match for a cosmetically sorted Hawkeye. Edited June 27, 2008 by TheWelsho
micra_wrc Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I like it was lucky enough to get up close to a real WRC one at Prodrive at the start of the month and loved it even more. such a difference seeing it in the flesh. although they are smaller they have more of a presence about them. though this may have something to do with the mods that Prodrive have done rather than how it looks out the factory lol
dan_jess Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Give a big hand for Mr Raandy Waatson! Thats the nicest 08 ive seen, looks really smart, but not many, if any over here will run so low and look as good. Theres one sits up the road from me sometimes and i cant get used to it when i see it. Mind you, i hated the Hawkeye when i saw the first pics of it and i like it now, but at least it resembled an Impreza!
eurosti Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I think it looks good, it doesnt look like an Impreza and im still trying to get my head round that one lol. However having been in a 08 on the ring all i can say to you newage owners is watch out there quick. There was a blobeye STI on track the same time as us and he couldnt get close and Alister had not long run it in, to top it off he had the ECU in Sport mode not Sport special. I didnt get to drive it but it went really well, and i prefer it over the Hawkeye. My mate has a WRX PPP Hawkeye but it cant keep up with my 14 year old classic. I would however have the Hawk Sti if i had the cash and i would go for the 08 aswell.
ANDYJDMSTI Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 It is an improvement but the old saying still applies....."you cannot polish a turd!"
Casper Spec D Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Have to say that look's good but am not a fan of the new one, prefer a saloon any day.
RS Grant Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I dont mind the 08 too much (rear lights aside) and think that with a couple of small mods they look spot on... that one linked above is just an example of that. I'd love to roll around that low with such an aggressive wheel/offset combo but it would require body mods that I'm not willing to do on an 2007 car and with the state of our roads it would be a complete ballache trying to avoid the holes/bumps/raised draincovers etc. Cheers, Grant
