Best Classic Ra?

Was thinking of selling my MKV GTI, and coming back to the land of scoobs. Always fancied a RA. So, whats the best one to go for? By best I probably mean, easiest to mod/tune, strongest engine, etc. Should I try and find one here, or am I better getting one imported?

Any advice appreciated.

v1wrx RA, and v1/2 stiRA had the closed deck block standard (strongest block, good start) iff i remember right.

the v1 wrxRA is 20bhp down on the v1/2stiRA +the sti has dccd+roof vent

heard a couple of folk had problems with sc too tho mate, I could have sold you a minter of a V3 STI 555 but it's now at Calder Motor co.
