timmy2take Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 (edited) Had this pictures from when I bought it saved on my work computer. Basically got my eye on a newer model and was wondering what you lot think I can get for mine. It's a 93 WRX lightweight panel model in Silver. Full Rollcage - not the one you have to climb over though! Recently had the cambelt changed Camshaft & crankshaft oil seals replaced. 2x brand new Goodyear F1 tyres. Apexi Induction Kit 3" straight through exhaust with 5" tailpipe 3" decat (yet to put on) 17" TSW alloys sprayed in black (could do with being resprayed/coated) Turbo Timer Front & Rear Strut Braces Brand new yellow stuff pads and drilled and grooved disks 1 side Rocker Cover gasket recently done New gearbox oil New Spark plugs STI suspension New Exedy Clutch Nardi Steering wheel MOT until mid OCT TAX till end OCT The body work has seen better days, there are marks on the roof, a very rough job done at rolling back the arches, when you open the boot it has rusted around where the rain runs out and duct tape has been put over it so it doesn't leak through with heavy rain. Got some pictures of before I got the car, not many changes since cosmetically, just put on some clear indicators and changed the air box to an Apexi induction kit which aren't shown in the pics. Any ideas on what it's worth? Or any offers as I'd like to get the cash together to get this newer model i've got an eye on. Many thanks Edited June 19, 2008 by timmy2take
emoe Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Mearly in jest mate. Looking on FLEABAY a 93 impreza WRX goes for between £400 for a really tatty model, to about £1800 for a good one. I need it to be £2000 really to be able to go for the other one, I guess i'll have to do more than this months 504 hours at work next month.

To make £2k out of your car, id imagine youll have to find somoeone who really wants it. Without seeing the car i cant tell if its bottom end of the market. BUT remember the credit crunch is on, and cars are loosing value.
j-k Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 The "lightweight Model" was the RA and was only available in WHITE or RED in 1993. Yours sounds like the run of the mill WRX...worth more money than the early RA's IMHO. Version 1 RA's around the 93 era have thinner glass(apparently?) and DIDNT Have central locking leccy windows Side skirts 16inch wheels Colur coded mirrors Although Air con was available as a factory extra?? Later models had some of the above available as extras as well as the rally blue colour. upwards of 1.6K-2.5k would seem a reasonable price (condition dependant) Good luck with the sale jon
timmy2take Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Damn, the car I had my eyes on has just been sold.
Baz69birds Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 '93 private sale, i would have a STARTING price of £4k, & get ready to be knocked down.. a friend of mine bought a '96? for £3k with all the mods last year. But bloke wanted a quick sale..... if you can.. like someone said try & take off your mods IF YOU CAN & put it back to standard.. & sell your mod seperate, Maybe you could sell the car £2k to someone & then sell the mods to them for £what ever you feel is correct for them???
timmy2take Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 Uploaded some pics I had saved on my work computer from when I bought the car.
emoe Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Uploaded some pics I had saved on my work computer from when I bought the car. Actually that car looks fairly clean!! Obviously cant see it perfectly, photos never do the job best, but from what i can see, it looks in good shape!! I was imagining this old minger beaten and abused!! I would actually be interested as a second car for the track!
