took them 7 hours to do.got a phone call person who changed the clutch before had cross threaded a bolt that goes into the chassis into a welded nut.as the guy undid it the welded nut became unwelded lol so it was just turning so up came the carpet then a nice hole in my drivers footwell to stick hand in to undo nut by hand.then the gearbox wouldnt come away off came exhaust aswell then got it apart after alot of sweat. clutch was like a brake disk smooth as fook and the flywheel was warped really bad and cracked from severe heat on brink of shattering.

Lol, I've actually done that before on a mondeo subframe bolt. Took an age to get the thing out too. Have they welded in a new bolt and closed the hole?

You were lucky with your flywheel, I've heard that if they shatter while doing high RPM, not a lot can stop the bits as they fly apart, I've read that they can smash through the bell housing, through the transmission tunnel and into the cabin of the car, closely followed by the drivers legs
