kaan_ors Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 I don't know about anyone else, but the ever increasing price of petrol has actually had quite an affect on my MPG. I now think twice about racing, (er, I mean playing!), other cars or even having fun on my own. I used to get about 200 miles from a tank of petrol but now I'm getting about 240. Is anyone else the same?
granby Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 hmmm no not really, don't drive any different from when it was below £1 litre (seems such a long time ago )
emmo Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 (seems such a long time ago ) Although sadly, it isn't! A year, maybe? I reckon fuel's gone up by about 25% in the last 12 months
swifty1981 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 iv got my wife to sell her 2l car and get a cheaper one so i can keep my car
timmy2take Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I think i've read something about when its hot you tend to use less fuel. Something to do with the heat making a power loss to a turbo car, so not as much power =s less fuel being used. I've just got 250 miles driving to Wales today with some to spare, and was giving it some plenty of times. I think I could of probably seen 300 miles out of my 93 wrx which is pretty standard if i'd drove a bit nicer.
