rae_sti Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 that made you look stop fantasising jaqs/ed No the time has come to remove the decals ,its been a year and ive done all the shows . so its time to go back to stealth mode , big up the guys @ BKdesigns for making my scoob a one off/in your face started 2pm yesterday and by 8pm i managed one side and the rear decals coming of easy but the glue is a b1tch , peeled some paint off the rear spoiler so gonna have to get that sorted .tried a hairdryer but thats makin it even harder to get the glue off so resorted to wd40 2 big cans so far . will i do it again ? not sure .waiting to see what jobs come along and what £££ i have to play with then maybe selling the scoob and replacing it with ?????? see whats about at the time .

Lady Vix Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 I tend to use the maguires paint renovator on the glue when removing stickers. It works quite well most of the time, and it brings up the paint rather well. You do have to put polish back on after though..... Failing that, the clay bar sometimes works better on the tougher stuff......... Hope this helps..... Good Luck

Good Luck tried claybar and stage1 megs but wouldnt shift it ,thanks anyway. finished the job off this morning with allot of elbow grease just got to polish it back up now and wax it

leplumbiere37 Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 get yourself a cheap hot air gun and remove them with that, works a treat - removed the vinyl graphics off my old van with it, bit of t cut after and polish job done
