hi folks wondering if u can give me advice. My check engine light comes on for about 30 seconds and gose off again on same part of road on way 2 work while the car is getting up 2 tempreture. is this a common problem if so could anyone advise??

The ECU will store the fault codes... either get some one with one of those monitor thingys to read the code or take it to a stealer to have it done.

More info might help like:

How long is the car running before it comes on, does it come on at idle?

In what way is the car being driven e.g. regular pace or bootin' it?

What is the model year of your car?

And anything else you can think of.

depends what age the car is really the clasics have on bord code reading connectors so you can find the codes yourself

did it this morning after 4 mins of drivin from cold came on for about 30 seconds then off again
