prodrive tony Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 Bit of bad news....Cars gone to Gravesend for repair and because I have alloys, exhaust and a modded front bumper they are not going to repair my car!! So as a warning make sure you declare EVERYTHING!! I could be stuck with a £700 repair bill now and a hire car cost at nearly £69 a day!! Fed up sums it up quite well.

scoobytibs Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 bloody hell didnt think they were that hot on mods, thats one to remember ,sorry to hear that mate,
tony_cousins Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Sorry to hear that mate, its gutting As for insurance the way they work now you have to declare everything on your car, they employ ex mechanics to do the job and they are trained to fine everything that is not standard often you will find one man will specialise in several cars ie subaru, mitsibushi, nissan and they will find out what is/isnt standard on your car. They then save the insurance company alot of money because they can walk away from the claim, worse thing is some will then report you as uninsured and you then end up with the fine and six+ points. In some ways that is why Keith Micheals is so good, i have claimed all mods no matter how small even though some are not fitted yet, that way i wont get a shock later on the price and when i fit another mod i just keep the receipt in a file for my records. Like for like is great . All the best Tony

You could have had a massive jet engine strapped to the roof of the car and it still wouldn't have made any difference because you were stationary. Are they not repairing it because all your mods need replacing? I wouldn't take this one laying down mate! You've got to argue your case as insurance companies will do anything not to pay out.
prodrive tony Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 Just making some inquiries into a possible extra surcharge so they fix it.................
