Stuck Indicator Light

Recommended Posts

I have a problem with my alarm system causing the left indicator light to stay on when I deactivate or activate the alarm system. The car drives okay and eventually if I set and unset the alarm it goes off. This though makes me look like some pratt who can't work a car alarm especially in tesco petrol station with all the sales reps and their vauxhall Numbknuts GL 10 door family favourites. LOL

Has anybody had this problem before, my garage doesn't have a clue. I also have a problem with the engine management light coming on and staying on most of the time, it seems to be worse in the warm weather (yes we do get the sun sometimes). The mechanics in the garage can reset this using their diagnostics laptop but it only lasts about a week or so.

Had the same problem with my bugeye wagon, i sold it before i ever found out what the problem was. Mines stuck on when we were on the Richard Burns memorial run. I am sure there is a picture of a few of us on the way down from Aviemore with all my indicators on. Sorry i cant help though.

mines has just started doing this too :D takes me back to the good ol' days of my Nova! hence I've already checked the hazard warning light switch, lol.

Think you are right, its more than likely linked to the immobiliser.

If you let me know if you get to the bottom of this, I'll do the same.

This is a real pain now does anybody know how to completely disable the alarm and the immobiliser, I would be happy just being able to lock and unlock the car then key in and start. I know I can put the key in and turn it then press alarm fob then start, but what a pain.
