Defi Controller

hi can anyone give me some help on how to wire my defi controller,iv got the defi disc so i know the wiring ie what the wires from the controller are for but its the wiring on my car,where to wire it and what colour are the cables to conect to as i cant findt an ignition live,any help would be great,cheers

I did mine myself. I'd already installed my stereo so had fresh iso harness wires which I just tapped into.

There's 4 wires:

Red - 12v constant - Red on my ISO harness for the stereo too.

Orange - 12v switched ignition - Blue on the radio harness from memory

White - Dimmer - Green and white wire on the radio

Black - Ground - Black also handily.

Just get blade connectors and tap them into the radio harness and you're quids in.

If I can do it anyone can.

What year of car and what spec do you have?

if you use the radio loom colours are as following

Yellow - permanent battery power

Red - ignition live ( ie when ignition is switched on it becomes live )

black - ground or negative

orange - illumunation.

what st3ph3n said above is incorrect.. I wired my defi last week and thats the colours I found worked by using a multimeter to work it out.

cheers guys managed to get it sorted today using a multimeter,as the wires on my stereo conection were diffrent coloured to the ones mentioned above,but cheers for the info :icon_salut:
